Cedar Mill Christ Preschool

Classes and Pricing

Committed to small class sizes

Cedar Mill Christ Preschool has been a Cedar Mill and NW Portland family tradition for over 50 years, due in part to our commitment to small class sizes and low student-teacher ratios.  Even though our school facility is spacious, we typically keep each class ratios to 5 to 7 students per teacher with multiple teachers per class.  The children’s safety, peace and enjoyment are our primary goals, and small class sizes ensure that each child’s social, emotional and physical needs are met.

Our Classes:

3/4's Class

9am-11:30am

Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays

The 3/4's class is for children who are age three by December 31 and are potty trained.  Children may wear pull-ups but need to have experience using the toilet.  The curriculum is social and play-based with creative learning centers and activities.  Letter and number recognition, beginning letter sounds and beginning math concepts are taught along with art experiences, science fun, music appreciation and dramatic play.

Pre-K Class

8:30am-11:30am

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays

The Pre-K class is for children who are age 4 by November 1.  Curriculum is geared to providing Pre-K learning objectives for Kindergarten readiness and success.  It includes writing, dramatic play, sight word recognition, math concepts, scientific inquiry, and music and art appreciation.

Cedar Mill Christ Preschool offers a mixed age program for our students to learn and play.  There are many benefits to this type of classroom setting.  The younger students are exposed to more complex language and play, while the older students learn leadership skills and the importance of setting a good example.  While the ages are mixed, we understand that each age group has different leaning goals and our curriculum aims to help each student meet these goals and reach their full potential!
